Our pack is a member of the Soaring Eagle District of the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. We are chartered through Gleason Elementary, a Cypress Fairbanks ISD Exemplary School. Pack 866 is proud to be celebrating our second decade with Gleason Elementary and equally proud to be recognized as a Centennial Quality Unit for achieving excellence in our Scouting program but also as a Scout Pacesetter Unit within our district. | |

My name is Terry Krailo and it is my great honor and pleasure to be the Cub Master for Gleason - Cub Scouts - Pack 866 for the 2010-2011 Scouting Year.
As a former Scout myself, I recognize the value that scouting brings to each and every boy that participates in our program. The Boy Scouts of America celebrates its centennial birthday in 2010 and for 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Today, these values are just as relevant in helping youth grow to their full potential as they were in 1910. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives. | |
There is a reason for everything boys do in Cub Scouting. Apart from the fun and excitement, the aim of Cub Scouting is to help boys grow into good citizens who are strong in character and personally fit. This is why we say that Cub Scouting is fun with a purpose. In short, “We are building tomorrow’s leaders today”. We invite you to visit Cub Scout Pack 866. Our Pack Meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month in the cafeteria at Gleason Elementary School. We also invite you to consider joining our organization, if you are interested in a program with the foundation to deliver a lifetime of value to your son.
